10/26/07 Herbie Rides Manila Again

I just got Herbie back… He's better than ever. I just need to bring him back to Jon for some minor adjustments. One of the running boards is loose, the seat is kinda wobbly, and the glove box door wont stay closed

Almost Done
October 15, 2007A month after Herbie's accident, the repairs to the body are almost done. Dang the weather because its taking longer than expected for the paint to dry
More importantly, the repairs to the framehead (which was long overdue) was completed. I expect Herbie to handle much much better than before. You probably wont be able to tell from the pictures but we welded new metal where a big crack used to be.
A complete brake makeover will put my mind to rest on the cause of the accident in the first place. And with the rust repair, I expect a much quieter ride now. I also had to change the bumper because it took a harder hit than we initially thought. After removing the bumper guards, we noticed that the overriders were damaged and the blade itself was twisted enough that it became a pain to align properly. A new set of bumpers front and rear are in order from Eric.
Give me another week and we'll see Herbie in Manila once again
