Twenty club members showed up at Burger King for the Bug-run to Malolos last Sunday, July 22, 2007. Some of them even brought along their families because it would be the first time that they would have the chance to hear mass at Barasoain.

The group left the Burger King, Timog branch at around 8:00 AM and we arrived at Shell inside NLEX a little before 9:00 AM. On hand to meet us there were the members of the VWCP Bulacan Chapter headed by their prexy Manolo dela Cruz. After some chit-chat we left for Barasoain to catch the 10 AM mass.

Of course it goes without saying that we made a lot of heads turned from Burger King to Malolos, Bulacan. As we were passing the narrow road going to the church, we caused a minor slowdown of traffic from the opposite direction as well, as the oncoming vehicles moved slowly to get a glimpse of 30 or so VWs passing on their left.

After mass, the priest came out and blessed the cars and the members. By then, the number of VWs have swelled already to about 40 because of the presence of our VW friends from Malolos. They also led us to this out-of-the-way native restaurant that served us good food.
